A hockey puck has a mass of 0.121 kg and is at rest. a hockey player makes a shot, exerting a constant force of 32.5 n on the puck for 0.16 s. with what speed does it head toward the goal? m/s

    U = initial velocity = 0 m/s

    v = final velocity

    t=0.16 s

    F = 32.5 N

    From Newton's 2nd law,

    F = ma

    32.5=0.121a

    ∴a=268.59 m/s²

    Now, use the kinematic equation to find v,

    ∴v=u+at

    v=0+268.59 (0.16) = 42.97 m/s

    Therefore, with this velocity puck will head towards the goal
