If you compared 1 m solutions, was a 1m nacl solution more or less hypertonic than a 1 m sucrose solution?

    The answer would actually be that a 1 M NaCl solution would be twice as hypertonic when compared with the 1M sucrose solution. This is due to the fact that when NaCl dissolves, it dissociates into Na + and Cl - ions. So the 1 M NaCl has twice as many solute particles as the 1M sucrose.
