    Where natural gas is used, it's called a gas-fired power plant.

    Where geothermal energy is used, they call it a geothermal power plant.

    Where captured solar energy is used, it's called a solar power plant.

    "Nuclear power plant" is the name most people use when the plant uses the heat from nuclear fission reactions to make its steam.
