Explain why the following scenario fails to meet the definition of a fair test.

Dr. Grow is studying Americans' preference for soft drinks. He is calling random phone numbers and asking people who answer to participate in a survey about their soft drink preference.

    It fails to meet the definition of the fair test because the way he has chosen the sample size

    Explanation:

    To conduct a test, there should be a well defined sample size. There needs to a well described problem to solve using the sample. Here, the problem us the preference of American's for soft drinks. To solve this problem, what is the age group he is looking at it. Is it teenagers, middle aged people or old man? The classification of the sample size using the age group should be done. He is taking a random sample by calling people and asking. It will affect the result of the problem he is trying to solve.
