A solid ball with a mass of 3.83 kg and a radius of 0.086 m starts from rest at the top of a 36.7 ◦ slope with a vertical height of 1.60 m. it proceeds to roll without slipping down the slope. what is the translational speed of the ball when it reaches the bottom? the acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s 2. answer in units of m/s.

    Transnational speed at the ball reaches the ground is given by the following equation:

    v2 = Sqrt [ (4/3) gh]

    Where, v2 = translational speed, g = 9.81 m/s^2, h = 1.62 m

    Substituting;

    v2 = Sqrt [ (4/3) * 9.81*1.62] = 4.6 m/s
