    Explanation:

    The induced current in the coil is clock wise as seen from thee top. So, the induced magnetic field is in vertically downward direction.

    According to the Lenz law, the magnetic field applied across the coil is in vertically downward direction and it is decreasing in nature.

    So, the induced current is in the direction such that the direction of magnetic field due to the induced current will try to increase the applied magnetic field.
