    W = 9800 Newtons

    Explanation:

    Mass is the measure of the amount of matter possess by a substance or material while weight measure the extent gravity have on the mass of the body or substance. it measures the amount of force the acceleration due to gravity have on the mass of the substance.

    The mass can be measured using ordinary balance and it is a scalar quantity but weight is measured using spring balance and it is a vector quantity.

    Since the mass of the car is known we can calculate the weight of the car.

    Mathematically, weight can be represented as

    W = mass * gravity (9.8)

    W = m * gravity

    m = 1000 kg

    g = 9.8

    W = 1000 * 9.8

    W = 9800 Newtons
