The chemical energy stored in the battery would be converted in to electromagnetic energy when current passes through the circuit. The current passing through the wire would magnetize the magnetic material in order to transform the chemical energy into electromagnetic energy.

    electrical to magnetic energy

    Explanation:

In an electromagnet, the electric current produces magnetic field. A conducting wire is wrapped into coil. when current is passed through the coil, magnetic field is concentrated at the center of the coil.

Here, a battery is used to produce current in the wire. Thus, electrical energy gets converted to magnetic energy.
