A 1500 kg car Coast down a hill starting from rest and decreases its high by 22 M over a distance of 100 m of travel how fast will it be going at the end of the Hill if friction has no effect in slowing its motion

    To solve this:Initial KE = 0 J meaning it begins at rest

    ΔKE = ΔGPE meaning there is no friction

    let speed at bottom of hill = v

    so (1/2) mv² = mgΔh

    v² = 2gΔh

    v = √[2 * 9.8 * 22]

    v = 21 m/s would be the answer if friction has no effect in slowing its motion
