    Mechanical weathering is the disintegration of rocks physically from larger sizes to small sizes. The factors that affect the process of mechanical weathering are climate, surface area, rock composition and pollution. Moisture and temperature hasten withering. Hence, weathering is hastened in hot, wet climates.
