What happens if a bar magnet is broken in half?

a. Each half becomes demagnetized.

b. Each half becomes a new bar magnet with one magnetic pole.

c. Each half becomes a new bar magnet with two magnetic poles.

d. The larger piece remains magnetized and the smaller piece is demagnetized.
