    Use the equation v=d/t, rearranged with t isolated it is t=d/v

    time for the first part of the trip:

    t=45/30

    t=1.5h

    time for the second part of the trip:

    t=90/42

    t=2 hours

    total time:

    T=t1+t2

    T=3.5 hours
