The Question; which of these expressions are correct variations of the combined gas law?

    1. T1 = T2 (P1V1/P2V2)

    2. V2 = V1 (T2/T1) (P1/P2)

    3. Both of the above.

    The answer is both 1 and 2; T1 = T2 (P1V1/P2V2), and V2 = V2 (T2/T1) (P1/P2).

The combined gas law combines the three laws; Boyle's Law, Charles' Law and Gay-Lussac's Law. It states that the ratio of the product of pressure and volume and the absolute temperature of a gas is equal to a constant.

    Therefore; PV/T = k., where k is a constant.
