A truck is traveling with 50,000 J of kinetic energy. It hits the breaks and the truck now has 20,000 J of kinetic energy. Where does the rest of the energy go? In other words what type of energy is the kinetic energy converted into to keep mechanical energy? Include law of conservation of energy
