Tanya arranged a lime, a lemon, an orange, and a grapefruit on the table in that order, from smallest to largest. She hypothesized that as fruit size increases, pH decreases. Then, she tested the pH values of the four fruits and created the following graph.

Which conclusion did she most likely form about her results?

The data do support the hypothesis because grapefruits are larger than oranges but have a lower pH than oranges.

The data do not support the hypothesis because grapefruits are larger than oranges and have a higher pH than oranges.

The data do support the hypothesis because grapefruits are larger than oranges but have a lower pH than oranges.

The data do not support the hypothesis because grapefruits are smaller than oranges and have a higher pH than oranges.

Ok, so you know that pH is like the alkilinity of something, or how acidic something is. 7 is neutral, and the lower the number, the more acidic. So, if you already know that you put the fruits in order to the proportion of their size, answer D is already wrong, saying that grapefruits are smaller then oranges. Answer B is also wrong, because you also know that the pH will be lower then oranges, not higher. So it will either be A or C. Which one do you think it is?
