Is it ever possible for one sound wave in air to overtake and pass another? Explain.

    Since all sound waves travel in air at the same speed (the speed of sound for that temperature of air), one sound wave cannot overtake and pass another. Asses: sound can have different speeds in air due to the temperature, but all sound will travel through that air at the same speed.
