An increase in frequency causes an increase in energy and vice versa.

    Explanation:

The frequency of a wave is the number of cycles produced per second. This means that a increase in frequency will lead to more cycles generated per second hence an increase in energy.

However a decrease in frequency will lead to a subsequent decrease in energy. For light waves, the energy can be gotten by the formula; E=hf

where E is energy, h is Planck's constant and f is frequency.

we can say from the formula that Energy is directly proportional to frequency.

in conclusion an increase in frequency will lead to an increase in energy.
