A car accelerates from 0 m/s to 30 m/s in 8

seconds. What was its acceleration?

    Acceleration = (change of speed) / (time for the change)

    Change in speed = (30 - 0) = 30 m/s.

    Time for the change = 8 sec.

    Acceleration = 30/8 = 3.75 m/s per second.
