    Jayme = >m1 = 40 kg, v1 = 4 m/s, North

    Antony = >m2 = 65 kg, v2 = 12 m/s South

    Jayme + Antony = > mf = 105 kg, vf = ?

    This is a question of conservation of momentum. Therefore;

    m1v1 + m2v2 = mfvf

    Substituting;

    40*4 + 65*12 = 105*vf

    160 + 780 = 105vf

    940 = 105vf

    vf = 940/105 = 8.95 m/s

    The velocity of Jayme and Antony skating together will be 8.95 m/s.
