A submarine begins ascending to the surface of the ocean. It experiences an overall acceleration of 1.7m/s^2 for the first 5s. What is it's velocity after 3.2 s?

    The submarine started its ascent, so its initial velocity was 0 m/s.

    Using the equation:

    v = u + at

    v = 0 + 1.7 x 3.2

    v = 5.44 m/s
