    0.4 m/s²

    Explanation:

    Given:

    v₀ = 0.5 m/s

    v = 2.5 m/s

    t = 5 s

    Find: a

    v = at + v₀

    2.5 m/s = a (5 s) + 0.5 m/s

    a = 0.4 m/s²
