    The answer is 1.8 m/s.

    Explanation:

Formula of speed is given below:

    Speed, V = Distance / time

    Given dа ta:

    Distance, d = 18 m

    Initial veliocity = 20 m/s

    Final velocity = 0 m/s

    Time taken, t = ?

    Find average speed:

Average speed = (initial velocity + final velocity) / 2

    = (20 + 0) / 2

    = 20/2 = 10 m/s

Average speed = distance / time

Time = distance / Average speed

    Time, t = 18m / 10ms-1 = 1.8 m/s

The time taken by the car is 1.8 m/s
