consider this situation: A team of landscapers pull an unplanted tree across the lawn. Of the forces listed, identify which act upon the tree. Normal force, gravity, applied, friction, tension, or air recistamce.

    Explanation:

    We know that the landscapers are pulling a tree, the forces acting on the tree are:

    Friction: As they move the tree, the ground makes a force opposite to the direction of movement, which is called friction.

    Tension: They are pulling the tree, so there is tension force applied to the tree.

    Obviously, the gravitational force and the normal force also act on the tree, the gravitational force pulling down the tree and the normal force "as an answer" to the previous one

    (also remember that we can not have friction force if we do not have normal force)
