If a sample has a mass of 1.25 * 102 g and a volume of 51 ml, what is its density?

    The density of a substance is ratio of the mass the substance has to the volume occupied by that mass of substance. Therefore, this can be written as:

    Density = mass / volume

    Density = 1.25 x 10² / 51

    Density = 2.45 grams / milliliter
