The fastest helicopter, the Westland Lynx, can travel 3.33 x 103 m in the

forward direction in just 30.0 s. What is the average velocity of this

helicopter?

    The average velocity = change in displacement / time taken.

    So you get that,

    average velocity = 3330/30 = 111 m/s

    Mind that the helicopter is moving forward without a change in direction so we can consider the distance of 3330 m as it's displacement.
