A bicyclist is going 7 m/s. He squeezes the brakes, giving him an acceleration of - 1.2 m/s2 How fast is the bicyclist going after 3 seconds of applying the brakes?

    2.4 m/s because 7 - (3x-1.2) = 7 - 4.6 = 2.4m/s

    V = Vi + at

    V = 7 - 1.2*3 = 3.4 m/s
