Sources of error in velocity of sound in air?

    The fluctuations are a result of the vibrations occurring in the vocal cords. Factors which could have altered the waveforms include background noise, drift stemming from temperature, and the distance between the tuning fork and the microphone and the distance between the person humming and the microphone.
