Five students measured the same kind with the ruler shown below the results reported by the students were as follows 4.51 cm, 4.55cm, 4.5cm and 4.6 cm even though you cannot see the line they measured which of the recorded measurements is not correct acorriding to the precision of the ruler

    The figure of the ruler is missing. However, it is possible to answer: the only possibility is that 4.51 cm is the wrong measurement.

    In fact, all the other measurements have as last digit a 0 or a 5: it means that the ruler has probably a precision of 0.05 cm. With a ruler with such precision, it's impossible to measure 4.51 cm, so this value must be the wrong one.
