A balloon has a volume of 3.00 liters at 24.0°c. the balloon is heated to 48.0°c. calculate the new volume of the balloon.

    This problem is solved by Charles's Law: V/T = constant, i. e. in this case, V1/T1 = V2/T2. Plug in the values given: V1 = 3 l T1 = 24 C = 297.15 K V2 = ? T2 = 48 C = 321.15 K - - > V2 = (V1/T1) * T2 = 3.24 l
