Recall Newton's third law of motion which states that, "In every action, there is always an equal and opposite reaction". When Alice kicks the ball with a force of 0.5N, in return the ball would also exert the same force to Alice's feet. These two forces are therefore equal in magnitude but are acted upon on different objects.
