a young woman decides to jump out of a parachute. She falls for 3.14 seconds before her chute opens. Calculate thr velocity when the canopy begins to open. neglect motion and air resistance.

    The young woman's falling speed is zero when she jumps out of the parachute (?). After 3.14 seconds, it is (3.14 x 9.8 m/s) = 30.77 m/s faster than zero.
