    The relationship between acceleration, velocity and radius is given as:

    a = v^2 / r

    Since we are given a diameter of 45 m, hence the radius is 22.5 m.

    a = (16 m/s) ^2 / 22.5 m

    a = 11.38 m/s^2

    In 2 significant figures:

    a = 11 m/s^2
