    This is expressed mathematically as;

    F = mv^2 / r

    Where F - centripetal force

    m - mass of the object

    v - velocity of the object

    r - raduis

    Note from the expression as r increases F decreases so if v and the mass is constant if r doubles F will reduce by half.
