    E = hf, where E is the energy of the photon, h the planck's constant, and f the frequency of the photon. Hence f = E/h, f = 3.06 eV / (6.63 x 10^-34 m^2 kg/s),

    f = (1.6 x 10^-19 kg m^2/s^2) / (6.63 x 10^-34 m^2 kg/s) = 2.41 x 10^14 Hz
