    Displacement after 8.9 seconds is 1462.68 m

    Explanation:

    We have equation of motion s = ut + 0.5 at²

    Initial velocity, u = 208 m/s

    Acceleration, a = - 9.81 m/s²

    Time, t = 8.9 s

    Substituting

    s = ut + 0.5 at²

    s = 208 x 8.9 + 0.5 x - 9.81 x 8.9²

    s = 1462.68 m

    Displacement after 8.9 seconds is 1462.68 m
