As dry air rises, it expands, and this causes it to cool about 1 degree celsius for every 100 meter rise, up to a height of 12 km. if the ground temperature is 27â write a formula for the temperature t in terms of the height h (where h is measured in meters and less than 12 km) above ground.

    For 0 < = h < 12000

    t = 27 - int (h/100) will give a whole number answer for t. int means take the integer part of the division. If you don't care about whole number answers, you can write it as

    t = 27 - h/100
