A 5.4 kg object has a velocity of 5 m/s. It collides with a 1.7 kg object which is not moving before the collision. After the collision, the first object has a velocity of 2m/s.

a) What is the impulse for the first object?

b) What is the impulse for the second object?

c) What is the second objects velocity after the collision if it was not moving before the collision?

    A) (5.4*5) - (5.4*2) = 16.2 kg m/s

    b) 1.7*9.5 = 16.2 kg m/s

    c) 5.4*5+1.7*0=5.4*2+1.7*v v=9.5m/s
