    Refer to the diagram shown below.

    The net driving force is

    F = 230 - 210 = 20 N

    The weight of the box is

    W = (30 kg) * (9.8 m/s²) = 294 N

    The normal reaction is equal to the weight, so

    N = 294 N

    Let a = the acceleration of the box.

    According to Newton's Law of motion,

    F = ma

    20 N = (30 kg) * (a m/s²)

    a = 2/3 m/s² or 0.667 m/s²

    Answer: 0.667 m/s² (or 2/3 m/s²)
