How do scientists measure changes in the levels of global atmospheric co2?

    Changes in carbon dioxide have been measured for many years, their volume is expressed in PPM, the abbreviation of Parts Per Million. It means that of every million molecules that a sample of air in our atmosphere contains, the number expressed in this measure will be co2.
