If a 40-kg object is moving with a velocity of 65 m/s to the right, for how many minutes must a force of 4n be applied in the opposite direction to result in a final velocity of the object of 10 m/s in the opposite direction?

    F = ma

    4 = 40a

    a = 0.1 m/s

    v = u + at

    -10 = 65 - 0.1t

    t = 750s = 12.5 min
