A box weighing 18 N requires a force of 6.0 N to drag it at a constant rate. What is the coefficient of sliding friction?

    Since the object is moving at a constant rate, there is no net force and force for drag is equal to the frictional force

    Frictional force = Coefficient of friction*weight

    Coefficient of friction = frictional force/weight = 6/18 = 0.33 m/d
