    Explanation:

    Objects in space also follow the laws of physics, hence the spaceship which follows newtons first law of motion (an object in rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless being acted upon by an external force) which means it would be having inertia will not stop after loosing power and going off unless another force stops it, and also there is no air or atmosphere in space to act as resistance to the space ship.
