Caleb misjudges while parking, and bumps his car into a brick wall at 3 mph. his bumper brings the car to a stop in about 2 inches. we wish to estimate the force the wall exerts on the car during this bump. note: it is very useful to learn to estimate the answers to science and engineering problems quickly, without doing detailed calculations. to do this, estimate the weight of a typical car, and make the simple assumption that the force (and thus the acceleration) is constant.
