The object is no longer stationary when it is applied by push or pull.

    Explanation:

The stationary position of an object means it is at one spot and remains there until an external stimulus is added.

To move an object from it's stationary position, an external stimulus, a push or a pull is applied to it. This push or pull is called Force. It is used for the following:

    a) Moving an object

    b) Bringing a moving object to a stop

    c) Changing the shape of an object

The effect of force on a stationary object is determined on the basis of it's two types: Balanced forces and Unbalanced forces

Balanced forces would either keep a stationary object in the same state or a moving object continues to move in the same direction and same speed as it did earlier. These forces are applied on an object from opposite directions and in equal amount. Unbalanced forces are two forces applied on an object. The forces are unequal in amount. They cause a change in the speed and direction of a moving object.
