If the mass of one liter (L) of water is 1 kg, what is the weight of one liter of water?

    The following expression gives relationship of weight and mass:

    Weight = mass * gravitational acceleration = mg

    Since

    1 L = 1 kg

    Then weight 1 L of water = 1*9.81 = 9.81 N
