    Well, as far as the arithmetic is concerned, it could happen

    in two different ways:

    The frequency is just the reciprocal of the period. That is, 1/period.

    - - The other way, you need to know both the wave's speed and

    its wavelength. Then

    Frequency = (speed / wavelength).
