The horizontal component of the velocity remains the same, i. e. 12.90 m/s

    Explanation:

The gravity has no effect on the horizontal component. It remains the same for throughout the journey. But the component that changes is the vertical component of the velocity.

When an object is thrown from the top, the vertical component of the velocity changes under the influence gravity. This velocity is given - Sqrt (2gh).

    Here g = gravity force

h = The height from where it was made to fall on the ground.
