A bowl of cherries is on the table and you push on it with a force of 35N, it undergoes a frictional force of 8N. What is the acceleration of the 2kg bowl of cherries? Also, what is the normal force?

    The acceleration of the object can be calculated as follows:

    F = 35 N = ma = 2a

    a = 17.5 m/s^2

    Normal force = mg = 2 x (9.8) = 19.6 N
