    New Volume=0.105 m³

    Explanation:

    Given Data

    balloon with a volume = 0.1 m³ at temperature of 300 Kelvin

    To find

    The volume when temperature rises 315 Kelvin

    Solution

    The ideal gas law is given as:

    PV = nRT

    Where n is the number of moles

    R is the universal gas constant.

    V is volume

    T is temperature

    P is Pressure

    For this problem the P, n, R (R = 8.314 J/mol·K) are constant, Volume and Temperature are directly proportional

    As Temperature rises by 5%=300 + (300*0.05) = 315 Kelvin

    Same as for Volume

    Volume will increase by 5%=0.1 + (0.1*0.05) = 0.105 m³

    New Volume=0.105 m³
