    Spirals are huge, contain stars, dust and gas and are held by gravity. A halo is present in Spirals, They have a pinwheel shape, and have a bulge and a thin disk. They are rich in gas and dust, and both young and old stars are present.

    Ellipticals have a oval shape, they do have a bulge but they got no disk. They also have a small amount of cool gas and dust and mostly old stars are present, They also have a halo, are held by gravity, and contain stars, gas, and dust like the Spirals.
